Link Business Collaboration, a startup network and showcase platform dedicated to creating entrepreneurial hub between Bangladesh and Japan, held the finale of its first ever social business competition on 23rd of January 2016, at the Radius Center Gulshan Dhaka. Transportation platform GObd was crowned winner from the 5 finalists competing for the first prize.
Contest winner GObd, founded in 2015 by Qasim Rana, Swagata Prateek & Farhan Rahman, is Bangladesh’s first “smart” transportation platform, providing users with real-time traffic data, public transportation information & on-demand transportation resources boasting over 200,000 monthly active users.
Farhan Rahman, one of the co-founders of GObd, is on his way to Japan this February to pitch on behalf of GObd at one of Japan’s largest social business competitions “The Business Idea Competition for 4 Billion People”.
The competition, looking to build an entrepreneurial hub between Japan and Bangladesh, will also provide GOBD with business pairing and technical support through collaboration with multinational businesses in Japan.
